I was wondering if I could plant those little red potatoes now?? I live in the texas panhandle zone 7 I think. Is it too late??

According to the pamphlet provided by my state extension service, I can plant potatoes as late as mid-July in my area. You are in a different area, but I have some seed potatoes in the fridge that will go in the ground within a week.
All gardening is local.

If you don't list your area or growing zone so it appears under your screen name, it is hard to give you a good answer. (just sayin'

I agree with you in principle, but the OP is in Texas Panhandle Zone 7. It's in the body of his message.

Since we never freeze here in San Diego I've toyed with the idea of trying them as a Winter crop but it's all but impossible to find certified blight free seed potatos that time of year and I don't want to risk infecting my ground.
