New Member, Old Gardener

Hi. I grew up on a small farm and have been growing my own livestock and crops since I was 10. At 15, I put out our whole farm after my dad died.

I have been gardening on my own for over 30 years. I started fairly small with a front tine tiller my parents had. In 1992 I bought my first Troybilt Horse tiller. I have been expanding my garden over the years and have over 9,000 sq ft this year. I also bought a second Troybilt Horse this year because I rely on it so much to get my work done. I also have a garden tractor with 3 point hitch implements to do some of the work.

I am gone through the week and do my gardening on the weekend. During harvest time, the garden work can take most of the weekend.

I mis-phrased in my first post. No animals now.

This year I raised corn, green beans, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, peas, potatoes, pumpkins, cantaloupe, strawberries, and sunflowers. I also do the grunt work for my wife's gladiolas. Next year we are greatly expanding her glad garden.
