I also prefer to start in the greenhouse, much easier when you've got some protection from frost and can get things started earlier.

I'm one of many here that agrees with the usefulness of at least a small green house for extending the growing season -- especially for those of us in northern climes. We need a bit more info on where abouts (in general) you garden. . . and lot of pictures! We LOVE photos of green houses, gardens, seedlings, flowers, pets, anything but vampires (who don't photograph well anyway).

I don't think that the possibility is even 50:50, Heather.
ALL of the state of Montana is north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
But maybe, @nmcbride lives in one of the prairie provinces or B C . . . ?
