I think you have done a wonderful job with picture of the week. I tend to not care what is submitted then enjoy the pleasant surprise of a terrific new picture when it pops up. I have thoroughly enjoyed each new picture.

Not doubting your word,@thistlebloom, but how do you know "a lot of people don't agree with the choices I pick each week"? Have a lot of people been complaining to you? I doubt it. Any complainers should get the opportunity (duty) to do it themselves for a couple of weeks.

I am sure it is not easy to choose from among all the fantastic shots posted on POW thread. I certainly wouldn't think of complaining! I have enjoyed each and every photo you have posted -- realizing you are doing a selfless service to brighten up our TEG website.

Have I ever seen a picture by @thistlebloom? I have seen many of the fabulous pixs she has posted in other threads -- many deserving of the spotlight. Nope, all that you do is to focus on other members and highlight the work of others.

It seems to me that all the comments about having an award for POW have been directed at the awardvs rather than at the chooser or the photos. Two totally different issues and the idea of an-award-or-not-an-award does not reflect on you or your choices for the POW photos.

Totally agree with Smart Red. Thistle is doing an amazing job without getting any recognition. She is one special lady! I think some of her moose pictures should be the POW!

Red, you are correct. Nobody actually messaged me a complaint. I was assuming...and you know what happens when you assume....

I never assume anything. I now presume instead. Still make the same mistakes from time to time, but no one ever says "you know what happens when you presume".

I think you do a great job of keeping the pow's diverse.

As far as the awards and "competition" I never viewed it as competition
