You lost me with the PNB and toast. I may try it though. We make Elvis' favorite fried banana sandwiches from time to time. Pretty good. Just never thought that PNB and 'maters would go together. But I eat apples with PNB all the time. Crunchy PNB. The crunchier the better.

My husband used to make Peanut Butter and Mustard sandwiches... but he admits he was mainly trying to gross out his sister

Tomato pie? What is that?

It's really easy and super yummy. Here's the recipe. I make mine slightly different, mixing finely diced onion into the mayo/cheese mixture and I pat it out thinner into a 9x13 pan and sprinkle a little oregano or italian seasoning on top. Despite being overrun with tomatoes, I try not to make this too frequently because it's not exactly health food, LOL.

Dinner tonight is almost entirely homegrown. :)

We're having baked rigatoni with homemade pasta sauce and homegrown chicken breast cubed up in there and of course I had to add in some grated zucchini because this is the time of year that I am hiding zucchini in everything because it must be used up. :D We're having Ava's green beans on the side cooked up with some homegrown onion and some other seasonings.

It sure was! Ava had seconds and Savannah must have had 3 or 4 helpings (although she only ate the noodles). Ava wouldn't eat her beans though. That just beats me. I even put some bacon grease in there!

I've never had them fried before. I will have to try that. I promised DH I'd lay off the fried zucchini. I've made zucchini fries and fritters too several times this summer. Really fattening, but so good!
