Yes, the house did great - even with all the water streaming down the driveway, only the tiniest little trickle came in the garage, and ran straight down the floor drain. Hats off to our builder, who told me he moved practically every inch of "soil" on the property to get the grades right when he started building!!!

No other damage that i've noticed, the only other plants i have right now are potted tomatoes and a zucchini, and they're under the roof of the pole barn, so i think they're fine. I was thinking when all that hail was pounding down that i'm glad we just moved and i havent had time to get a real garden going!!

Good grief! I would shed a few tears if I saw that! Glad the house withstood that crazy storm...

We had one of those crazy storms near here, early this summer. People's cars were severely damaged! And siding was destroyed on houses. Mother nature...

Crossing my fingers and toes we don't have anything like that the next few days. We are expecting some rainfall -- some of it in the possibly 'severe' range. I can imagine what damage some hail like that would do to my spud and corn plants, not to mention mashed tomatoes.

Wow! Thank goodness that there wasn't damage to go along with that! Better check your roof, if you haven't already. Hail can make cuts in the shingles that might not leak right away, but can degrade over time so that you have a leaky roof and no insurance claim! I've had 2 new roofs due to hail damage and 1 new roof (plus structural damage) due to a hurricane. It would be a good idea to call in the insurance adjustor, just to make sure.

@NwMtGardener Heather, the clouds were towering giants, today.

They sure looked like they were heading your way!

I told DW that if I was in the Selkirks, I'd be digging a hole and pulling it in over my head! I don't think those clouds stopped at the Selkirks ...
