No kidding! In addition to being huge beavers, they are monstrous termites too! I have one that will climb wood fences, stand on the slats and break them. Same with stalls if they are made with 2x6 instead of solid walled. He also unties knots, can open coolers and get into general mischief. I love him madly! :love

The ornery-er the animal the more I seem to love them. My Hubby says it is a "like minds" type of thing. Could that be that case w/ you and your horse, Bay?

We must grow different Mulberries here in Iowa. I don't think they have much taste at all :idunno
A white mulberry sounds like a better idea! No purple 'coon poop for the dogs to avidly seek out and roll in. Altho it leaves a beautiful lavender shade on the Pyrs' coat. Even after the dish soap scrub:rolleyes:

We have the purple ones here too, they are messy! The birds always poop on the car right after a nice meal of purple mulberries!

Of course, the dogs still roll it the poop just as avidly, it is just that you can smell them before you see what they've done.

That makes sense, NYBoy! I have only ever tasted the "Fence Wrecker" Mulberries.
Red, I hadn't thought of it that way ... I think I'd rather see before smell. Nothing like catching a nasty whiff as I am giving a good scratch & kiss on the head. Ewww.
