I wrote this yesterday and forgot (was so upset that I zoned out?) to post it. Thank you for the recipe. It sounds like a winner.

A-hem! Mary my tomatoes are just starting to ripen. Do you have to wait until the deepest part of winter to share that recipe? It looks delicious!

I copied and saved it ....... I guess for next year! I have 4 nice German Johnson plants that are blooming, but not setting tomatoes. I guess it's just too hot.

My garden is between the driveway and sidewalk. So the heat radiates off the concrete, the poor tomatoes are in a crossfire and they get cooked. Plus this spring, we got rain, followed by blistering sun, everything got blight and wilted and then dead. I am looking forward to having a wide expanse of dirt to plant my garden in! No concrete, just dirt.
