This is what my mom did today, as you might be able to imagine she wasn't too happy. 
Thirty quarts of pickles and still more to pick. Both dill pickles (top pic, left) and bread and butter pickles (top pic, right) were made. The sunflowers are from the garden too.
Before the cucumbers were pickled...
