Whew! Half way through. Gallon and a half of apple sauce, 6 pints of apple butter, a bag of apple leather, 2 bags of dehydrated apples, 2 pints of spiced apple preserves and a couple of sliced frozen apples for smoothies.

I am taking a break from apples now. Starting to hate them! :p

Someone just offered me free picking of their plum tree too. Hmm...

If you eat apple pies, you could freeze apple pie filling in a bag, set into a pie pan. When frozen, pop the frozen bag full of filling out of the pie pan. That way, when you make a pie, you have the filling prepared to just pop into the pan of pie crust, allow to thaw a bit and pop it in the oven. (lots of popping going on here!)
Or send them to me and I will do it.

AmKuska, go for those free plums! Do you have an extra freezer? I know what they say about the power going out. Our power goes out usually twice a year but just for a few minutes. I love freezing stuff cause it's soooo much easier. I'm starting to freeze my salsa now instead of canning it. It was taking forever just to boil that water!
