I know, me too. We've had some beautiful fall color here this year too, but a heavy rain yesterday took down most of the leaves.

That is exactly why I took the photo today. I walk by the field every day on my daily stroll and I have been waiting for the colors to peak, but we are expecting strong wind and rain tomorrow so the leaves will be: Gone with the wind.

It's been especially pretty this fall here, too. I went to Nashville over the weekend, and the drive there was beautiful. Nasty weather is expected for Halloween, though. And down below freezing. I did put up a low tunnel in the garden, for the greens I have growing there. It looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. Hope it stands up to the north winds that will blow this winter!
Used pvc pipe and Agribon 19.

Beautiful picture Jack. October is my favorite time of the year. I've always wanted to go back east to see the fall colors. Briefly thought of going this October when our Cabo trip got cancelled due to the hurricane but it was just too quick for me to plan. Maybe next year.

Mary,
We did not have a lot of rain this summer, so the colors are muted somewhat. Not much orange or red, mostly yellow, but I'll take what I can get. They will probably be gone by the weekend. We live about two hundred yards from route 7, so the Vermont border is twenty five miles from here. The traffic to Vermont to see the leaves on the weekends is horrendous. Like, hello folks, look out your car windows, we have the same leaves here in New York. :hu

Seventy inches of snow! I'll just keep my little sunny self down here in Texas. I'm happy just looking at pictures of snow!
