Once again we have been invaded by moles. :duc Cats ( we have several feral cats that invade our yard every night), neighbor's 3 terriers, traps, poison baits don't seam to work. Does planting onions or something else help deter these PESTS ? :idunno Does these things actually work in your experience after an infestation ? :hu

I have read about certain bulbs repelling moles and mice ... found this for you ...Mole control . I think it is the fritillaria that is claimed to work best, look up 'sork mole bulb'. I'm not sure how practical it would be to have to keep planting them all around your property, or if they really do work.. ?

I used a homemade castor oil application years ago. It worked great, OR the moles cleaned out the food and left. I didn't see a mole for 5 years. Now I find it cheaper and more efficient to trap them. The Tomcat mole trap works great for me, but the moles feeding tunnels are often near the surface making it easy to detect the active tunnels. I attack early in Spring or as soon as I see a tunnel pop up. Get the trap in the right tunnel and I get the mole within an hour. More moles will move in eventually though. I don't know of a way to deter them forever, just another ongoing chore...but I have gotten pretty good at controlling them. I love that trap!

I will trade you some chipmunks. :D
