He's got a good eye, the detail of pollen might be lost on some youngsters!
Catjac1975 is right, of course. The grands see what grandma is focused on.
I had a student in second grade that drew the most physically correct cows you could imagine yet her people, and all other animals were little more than stick figures. She lived with cows and she knew them well.

@Smart Red it's the same for kids with songs. My husband was teaching the elementary students to sing Old MacDonald, having come from the Midwest himself originally.

Only down here people raise imported exotics like black buck antelope, fallow and sikta deer, dik dik, etc. on their farms. Nothing like having kids put a scimitar orxy and appropriate sound into a children's song! He learned a lot that first year!

My three darling Grandsons know there is only one important flower on the planet. They love to help in many ways. Landon, the 2 year old displays knowing how to pollinate. Aidan, 7, showed many a visitor how to do the same. Gavin, 4 drew this lovely daylily. Look at all the pollen-it must be very fertile.

That is too cool. Smart kids.:thumbsup

With the possibility of 32 inches of snow I thought I would post what I am really thinking about. My daylilies all nestled all snug in their beds...under 32 inches.

Cat, the first words that popped into my mind were "Oh my God". That is so gorgeous! I think I have room for one and can't decide which one. I like them all. What's the name of that one?

That is Helen and Janek. It is named for my wonderful parents. It will be split next summer so is not yet available for sale. I will give my siblings and nieces and nephews a piece before it will be available. My husband says I say each one is my favorite, but this one is.
