I mean, where is Smart Red?

Sorry, I've been away from the computer. Heating went out Monday and the outer rooms (one is for the computer) have been running 40 degrees (F). No way I'm spending time in those rooms when I can keep the center of the house a toasty 54 - 60 degrees with a steady supply of wood in the fireplace.

New heating system should already be in, but there are a few bugs -- namely ice in the piping -- that keeps us from being hooked up. Soon, God willing, soon! Br-r-r-r! Going back to feed the fire.

Still no heat. The top 4-6 feet of the five pipes running 150 into the ground are frozen. Until they unfreeze (or are unfrozen) there is no chance of getting the geo heat running. Since our furnace died completely a week ago Monday, we've been running on heat from the fireplace in the TV room. Thank God, we have a good fireplace system that can keep the living areas of the house near 60 degrees. The bedrooms are shut off and like the computer room are between 40 and 42 degrees. No way I'm working there. Today got to 33 degrees outside, so I moved the sun room heater into the computer room for a while. That's why I'm visiting tonight -- it's almost cozy warm right now.

I can't believe I'm 5 pages of posts behind.....
