For 3 years, I've been searching for seedlings, older plants and trying to get seeds/cuttings to grow.
I finnaly got a cutting to root, then I've found 3-4 plants that are Mulberry that I've been hacking away at as if they were weeds!! =0
I also got berries to sprout and found a ton of sprouts that endednup being Mulberry seedlings! =0
Mulberry is my 2nd favorite tree.
Main tree is red or black Mulberry, but not the white paper Mulberry.
My horses vacuum up all the fruit as it falls and then pluck off leaves they can reach. My now Rainbow-Bridge doberman would pick off ripe berries from this tree. I've taught our Bulldog to eat the ripe ones off the ground and the LGDs, too.
It's a great livestock, dog and human feeding tree. (Cat likes to climb up and "roost" on it during the day)
I will have many planted baby trees available of Mulberry, along with Mint, if anyone is interested in buying any for some change or local trade. Hoping to grow them up for better trades next year, too.
