I have two cling peach trees side by side on the land and in previous years they fruited and ripened together, seemed to be the same type/kind of peach. This year they were loaded, one tree had fruit that continued to grow and ripen as per normal, best crop I've ever had from those trees. The other tree seems frozen in time with fruit half grown or still growing very, very slowly and it's not ripening. The other tree was finished last month and this tree is just in stasis.

Looks healthy, glossy and full, just like the other tree, has been fed the same amounts, receives even more sun than the other tree, same amount of water, is the same age and size of the other....but the fruit is just hanging there, green and hard. Any ideas what's going on?

I have 2 large planters at entrance to my driveway. I wanted something special for curb appeal I bought 2 fireworks hydrangea trees same place same time. I planted both with same soil both get same sun. One flowers about 4 weeks before the other. My plan was for them to flower at same time. Mother nature has her own calender .

Nope! Is the slow one closer to a walnut tree? Closer to neighbor-chance of herbicide damage? There had to be a reason. I just have no idea.

Nope...no walnut trees here. No neighbors either....the closest one we have doesn't even trim his lawn let alone use herbicides. He mows, but that's about it. But, he's quarter mile from here with a large area of dense woods between, so no chance of any contamination.

I've searched the net for a probable cause but couldn't find anything....will let you all know how it all turns out. Sure hope someone has an idea, though.

I don't have any idea either. But the same thing is happening with my fig tree. The fruit is small, hasn't been growing for a couple months and the figs are hard. At first I thought maybe it wasn't getting enough water since the figs were not growing. So I've made sure it has plenty and still it's like it's frozen in time. Healthy looking tree with lots of figs but nada.

Can't help with the peach or fig but, @Nyboy do your hydrangeas get the same light for the same amount of time, if one gets more shade than the other this would explain the delay in flowering. I imagine it's too late to switch them around to see if that would make a difference. I have three hydrangeas in a raised bed out front, the two on the ends 'Miss Saori' were the same size when planted, one gets more sun, the other more shade, the one that gets more shade starts to bloom 3 weeks later.
