Of course they do.

You really expect to enter her home and find a jungle of re-blooming orchids entangled in the curtains? Then again, I rather like the idea of her selling re-blooming orchids to the florist you deal with. A true 'circle of life'.

My dad has had an African Violet in his kitchen windowsill for over 15 years. It blooms all the time! Neglect must be the key then after all. Or maybe the lighting is preferable there. We got one last winter from Ava's Nana and it hasn't bloomed again since it arrived. I did re-pot it up into a nicer ceramic pot as it was in plastic. I had to clip off all of the leaves at one point because I found out the hard way not to water from above. Wet leaves=ugly brown spots. I read they don't like cold water on their roots either. I may be overwatering too. I've fertilized it once since the leaves grew back. Probably time to do that again. I've gotten to where I have no time or patience for picky plants. I tossed my epi's out to compost this summer because they looked terrible and never bloomed for me in 6 years. :\

If any of you have Instagram, you might like to follow this user... https://www.instagram.com/floretflower/ She grows flowers for weddings and such. It's my daily dose of beauty! (As my own garden is currently not doing it for me.) I like that she gives the names of the different flowers and especially dahlias so I can look them up.
