No, a machinist.
But have been building Hot Rods and race cars since I was 14.
I still have the 1st Hot Rod I built in 1964.
I've worked on lots of carbs over the years, along with fuel injection.

I've worked as a Machinist and once as a toolmaker. I liked it very much, not doing big runs of the same parts but doing set up was exciting to me, doing the first part and arranging the plus or minus gauging for a run.

You must be pretty good to call yourself a machinist and not a machine operator.
