Hi @Smart Red ! Sorry you are having trouble uploading your nice pictures!

Have you upgraded your browser lately? The current version of Safari is 9.1.1. Unless you are locked into an older operating system (5.1.10 may have been the last version for Snow Leopard), it would be worth updating to see if that resolves the issue (and improve performance and safety).

Firefox is a great alternative, but again older versions lack full functionality, security and support.

I hope this works out for you!

I have been clicking the "upload a file" button. No change in what I do, only in how the site seems to work.

After someone else posted about 'dragging' their photos to the page, I've tried doing that. Works for me, but the same site process of dancing lines at the top right and shading of the message page while loading.

As I said, I haven't done anything different from what I've been doing for the past year or more. It's the site that seems to be loading my photos differently.

I guess that as long as I can still add photos, there's no reason to complain. I just liked it better before the past two months and wondered if there was a site change I missed reading about.

Don't worry about "complaining"... we definitely want things to work properly!

We'll keep digging into it and see what we can find!

Took almost two minutes to download the last photo of maple tree (Eskimo Sunset) today. I don't know how long the first download took since I was out taking the second photo at the time.

That's a lot longer than downloading used to take before the 'change' abt. two months ago.

Just to clarify, I'm guessing you mean "uploading", correct?

Is anybody else having similar problems uploading pictures to the forum?

I just tried 4 big pics using Firefox and didn't have a problem.

@Smart Red : I wonder if your browser auto-updated a few weeks ago and maybe something with your Flash? For example, the default uploader is Flash supported: "Using the Flash uploader allows those visitors with Adobe Flash installed to select multiple files to upload once, and to see a progress meter during the upload."

... so, if your system isn't playing nice with Flash, then the "progress meter" may not show.

@Nifty I can't post pictures. :hitI use Explorer and haven't changed anything on my end. I click upload a file, the bar goes light blue, 100% and that's all. It normally changes to dark blue and then I can click on it to upload my picture. This happened before, I don't know what happened, but after notifying you, I could post pics again. I can't post pictures on SS or BYH either.

Thank you so much for providing us with this wonderful forum.
