The little berry like thing looks like a bittersweet seed pod, but I think there should be more, and I don't know what the leaves of bittersweet look like.
That's not a problem, it's a satisfying adventure. Can you, is there any reason you can't have a burn pile? You know, slash, rake and burn, in a barrel if you want.
Then one by one each area of your spread will open up. You'll be able to see plants and trees and you can decide how to trim, dress or remove any one or all.
It will be great fun,and it doesn't have to be done on one week end.
You're in for a great time, the pictures you posted give a pretty good look at the place.
Have fun with this, you won't often have something like this to look forward to.
Just reread your post, about that stinging plant. If it PI Dress properly cut it out and bag it, throw the work cloths out too if you decide and wash the tools out front in the street. That's if it PI.
Doesn't look like it to me.
Gee, you can do a step by step,, section by section with pictures, we very much like pictures.
If you use a herbicide, I would strongly advise against Glysophate. This do badly to your soil and will migrate to the water table. The internet will have information that will confirm it's danger if you can get past the Petro Chemical Courporation cover up.
@PennyJo i'm thinking your plant is Burning Bush. it gets a flush of red leaves when it gets colder & about to drop them. very pretty but can be considered invasive.
actually right here at Mossyrock the have a yard waste dump site
we will cut it off then stick it in the utility trailer and haul it over
in the spring we will look to kill new shoots
i have not found the burning bush to be invasive but i guess birds eat the seeds & can fly off to wooded areas where they poop them out which then seed the wooded areas. then the plants take over.
Can not walk 3 feet into woods around here without finding burning bush. It does not get the same deep red as ones for sale. Fall color is a more muted red
