Hi! My wonderful sons built a raised garden for me three years ago. The oldest helped me plant and care for it for two summers, and then moved his family to Illinois! I'm ashamed to say all I had this year were some volunteer tomato plants from which I harvested *two* yellow 'cherry' mini tomatoes. It was not a good summer. I want to start over, and do more next year with easy care plants, especially some herbs, and maybe perennials like rhubarb? I also have a strawberry patch originally planted by my grandchildren.

Welcome, Barb! :frow

Now's a great time to start planning for next year. :) I've got a couple raised beds and just love them. Strawberries are very easy to care for in a raised bed too. Hope you find some good ideas here to get you off to a good start next year.

Hi, Barb, and welcome. We have at least one other gardener here from Michigan. But I haven't seen him recently.
What part of Michigan are you in?

Howdy, @BarbfromMichigan! Glad to have you growing with us. I'm veggie gardening in raised beds as well. Also didn't get much into the garden, thus not much out of it this growing season.

We will have plenty of cold days to plan and dream of working in our perfect gardens next spring.
