When @valley ranch posted the picture, I thought about there being some people who have all 4.
My mother's cousin had a big company built on his determination, single-mindedness and an invention he made while in college. I'm not sure if his kids care much about anything but expensive houses, don't really know. Neither Mom nor I saw anything of them during the ... let's see ... the final 35 years of the old fellow's life. Closest relative in Wikipedia
, had to look that he had passed away in 2009.
I live a stone's throw from his son but nobody has thrown any stones. Or, anything else for that matter.

Sorry, Steve, but I'm not feeling agreeable today. Don't like chocolate, don't drink coffee, and 'enough' suits me just fine. I didn't look for or even want rich.

I told all my nieces when they where leaving for school it is just as easy to love a rich man as poor man. Date law and medical students

I'd say "baron" but he didn't achieve that standing. His family was interesting, although his son my age had no interest in even talking to me. His sister, Mom's age, was the nicest of people and kept her small home and yard as neat as a pin.
His father was one weird dude. On fall visits to his only daughter, he would stop by my uncle's house nearby with a load of squash in the back of his old pickup. For 5 or 10 dollars, my uncle would buy these from him. Mostly, they went to his cattle ... I guess the cash paid for the 30 or 40 mile drive to visit his daughter.
The rich cousin seemed to be a polite guy who would "drop by" to visit Mom and Dad after retirement. His son sold half his company ... turns out ... 1 year after his father's death. Purchaser was a European engineering conglomerate. The other half ... was sold 2 years later to "a private equity firm." - Journal of Business
Owned airplanes but he had 3 kids and step kids. His oldest son is my age and lives in a neighborhood about 30 minutes and several socio-economic classes away. Zillow has info on a few homes there ... 4,600 to 10,000 square feet ..! NyBoy, you are responsible for me knowing that!

I suppose if you are very rich, you have to be constantly aware that other people (relatives, old friends) don't have as much money as you. It is the elephant in the room.
If you are very poor, you will be constantly aware that those people have more money than you.
I can see why people who strike it rich seem to abandon their poor friends. If they give of their money freely, it may all soon be gone, and the recipients will then think their rich friend is holding out. What a conundrum!

Ya know, I should not even be talking about "them" ...
It's only this social networking thing that makes it possible. Otherwise, the rich dudes would be the only ones talking about the rich dudes (& poor dudes). And, those dudes would be talking about people of other nations (& nationalities). And, dudes would be talking about women ...
