    One Alaskans greenhouse

@One Alaskans greenhouse, I have heard of people eating frog legs. I cannot believe that people would eat or even attempt to cook them. I vaguely remember the time I watched them being cooked in a cast iron skillet with a lid and for a child to see the food jump out of the pan, I am so good. I...

What Did You Do In The Garden?

Walked out to the garden today. Pulled some of the crabgrass out of the greenhouse. Pulled up some of the carrots bc they were so close together that they weren't growing. Other than that it's my lazy day.

No it's a opossum. He was injured so he ended up passing away. The good thing is that it wasn't a female with babies.

Does anyone know what type of flower/weed this is. It smells like onions after mowing. I looked it up and it says it is a fool's onion.

I avoid the chemicals as much as possible. The dandelions are chemical free and they would make my flower bed so pretty. I love seeing them bloom in early Spring. I also have a lot of white iris',both tall and short, that might fit in with what I want to do. I might dig up some of the lilies.

These are of the flower bed I am working on and as you can see it's full of rocks. It doesn't help that Wally decided to dig in it.

Oh yes I have found plenty of little critters under the soil. I read that it has to have a water source and plenty of leaves and twigs and also the plants for a food source. Then it's 20$ and done

Started working on making a new garden bed. Instead of just flowers I am going to add herbs and maybe some low growing veggies. I have some dandelion plants in the yard so I can dig them out and put them in the garden for the bees. I'm thinking about making it a certified wildlife habitat.

    Phaedra's Adventure

Phaedra your gardens are gorgeous. I'm working on my own flower garden I plan to put some herbs in it so that it's showy, sweet and edible plus side is it will feed beneficial pollinators. I really hope it works out for me because my soil is just yucky.
