Any ideas what might be causing this white stuff on...

    Cumberland black raspberries

I was told that cumberland black raspberries can tolerate growing near a black walnut tree. I was a raised bed about 25 feet away from my black walnut tree, and the darn tree has been wilting and stunting the growth of anything I plant on 1/2 the bed, the other 1/2 of the bed does just fine...

    Cooking with Dog Food

Use caution adding the food to your compost pile as it will attract wild animal to the "meat". I would recommend putting it in a covered compost pile if you do.

    Composting Dog Waste?

I would not use any compost from a meat eating animal in my garden EVER . I have seen the compost "hole" where you dig a whole and put a "trap door" over it. The poop goes down the hole, and the trap door keeps the smell down. This way the good breaks down in a safe way.

    Mulberry - pros and cons?

I have a mulberry in my yard and in the yards near me. If you plant one make sure the tree is not over a side walk/drive way or patio. The berry will fall and make a stained mushy mess. If it's over grass it's no big deal. The trees grow VERY fast. I had a 1 foot seedling 2 years ago that is...
