U do know u can rent a lift for half a day and do that? Plus any other chores like clean gutters, etc.

That would only work for me if a handy man came with the lift!

In the town I grew up, there was one house on a very busy road that had a huge tree that was taller than their house, perfect Xmas tree shape. They always went insane with drowning their house, lawn and the tree in every type of holiday decor. And every year, the firetruck would drive down and help them put up the top star.
They've since sold the house and the new people aren't friendly nor do they decorate, it's sad.

The fire department around here always lights and trims the highest part of the town tree, puts up the lamp ornaments and wires a Christmas sign across the road.
