I love that song! Hadn't seen the video before though. Even better!
I tell ya, I don't even watch the news anymore (think he mentioned that in there too). They seem like they just deliberately want to bum you out, telling the most shocking and horrible stuff they can scrape up. The Weather Channel website has been getting on my nerves here lately too, with their video suggestions at the top of the page, always something sad has happened to some child, animal or woman and I don't know why they think I'd need to know about it, other than to try to make a person fearful and paranoid. Can't even check the weather in peace. Stupid media. We need less gore and gossip surrounding us and more happy in the moment where we are! No wonder so many people are depressed. Turn that junk off.
@journey11 That is Soooo True. I no longer get the daily paper or watch much news. If it is really important I will fid out soon enough. I have been called a toadstool. But hey.. I kind of like living in the dark! @baymule LOVE that, it does make on feel HAPPY!
@catjac1975 that song reminded me of the singing bass. I was given one of those plaques with a bass on it and a sensor that was activated by movement. When you walked by, it started moving it's head and flapping it's tail and singing this song. The original is MUCH better!
We've been on a Weird Al kick since his new album "Mandatory Fun" came out. "Foil" and "Word Crimes" are my favorites too. @Smart Red might get a kick out of "Word Crimes". I've been so tempted to forward it to all my former high school English teachers!
I did like the Word Crimes song, @journey11! I used to feel like someone scraping their nails on the chalkboard when I heard someone use the wrong word. Sounds as if Weird Al dislikes word mistakes a whole lot more than I do. I never suggested removal from the gene pool, just a bit more education.
