Our east corral gate. Getting to be no place to put the snow.

We got another 3' last night, good to have the snow. But moving the snow, pretty soon there's no place to put it.
This snow we've been getting should bring the lakes up, we've had two or three poor snow years in a row.

Places to push snow gets to be a problem around here too.

We received a few inches the other night, which isn't a big deal, but the drizzly rain on top made it a mess.
The snow under all that softened up and it was like maneuvering in soft butter.
Dh got his big work truck out of the driveway but got sucked down on the first corner. He was able to get the chains on and get it home where he loaded all his tools into his Jeep and slithered out the three quarters of a mile to the paved road.

Lots of our neighbors were stuck until the ones with tractors could get there to help drag them out.

More snow falling tonight and tomorrow.

Then rain comes again on Sunday. Snow after that ..?

It's not very cold this winter but there's some precip with parts of the northern Cascades above 100% normal snow pack. Only 75% here nearby but that may change over the next few days.

Is that her bowl?

A white-crowned sparrow?

Oh look, a squirrel!! The squirrels have only had nighttime naps this winter, for the most part. Finally. Finally! the dang cats have stopped visiting the yard - not wanting to get their wee paws wet and cold, no doubt.

Ein was enjoying himself yesterday & kept making his puppy angels in the new snow. we got a few inches but it is wet stuff. forecasters are calling for another dusting to an inch overnight starting tonight. they keep changing the forecast for the rest of the week so i guess we'll be playing it by ear all week.
