low water weed resistant grass????

I have heard several commercials for a low water, less mowing, weed resistant grass.

Does anybody have any experience with these?

What are your opinions of these?

Which type is most grass like? I have heard that some are really bad.

* They could be talking about the relatively new "turf-type" tall fescues. They are supposed to be lower growing, and much deeper rooted than the old fescues. I had been planning to experiment with a couple varieties before we decided to move. I haven't seen them advertised on TV though, only read about them on grass seed supplier sites.
