Got the truck in the shop today, has no brakes. Starting on the sheet metal work next weekend. If you can hold on to the seat frame until I get more room in the shop. Pictures to come shortly.

Mary I wonder about that, was told engine was taken a part cleaned and put back He was working on rust weeks ago. He is a friend of my sister and brother inlaw

I think it would help if you go down and talk to him in person and see what work he has done. I would be checking in person every month for progress.

Photos and emails are good if you can't make it down. But in person is the best thing, especially since he appears to be dragging his feet. At least that's what I would do. If he sees you in a regular basis, he may speed things up. Also, you will get to know each other and that always helps to move a project along.
