Right off, I'm thankful for Carol Dee. (And, everyone
.)
So far, my contribution:
We aren't having our traditional apple pie because only the fresh eating apples looked good at the green grocers. Cream pies? Well, that's easy ... as long as DW makes the crust. (I'm careful not to mention graham cracker crusts to her.) I was successful at putting banana cream on menu because of the basket full of them on the table! We will do the whipped cream topping at the last minute.
Had to stop to cut up parsnips and sweet potatoes. Next stuffing that turkey! But first, punkin pancakes and coffee!

Steve, I have problems doing the edges on my pie crusts. For some reason they seem to shrink. How do you do yours?

It will be as tuff as plywood, right out of the stack!
Does ice in the water for dough help? Bout the only thing I see DW does with her smaller digitS'

I notice that she leaves some "landscaping" to the rolled dough. It isn't smoothed out to cardboard.
After that, it must just be how she presses with her fingers.
Oh, the crusts to be baked go in the oven with a pie pan below and a cake pan on top.
