Heavy Hair Loss On Rabbit

Why are you putting flea stuff on your rabbit? Because he is losing hair or because you actually saw fleas on him? He is just blowing his summer coat to grow in his winter coat. Set him on a table, wet your hands and rub him back and forth. the loose fur will stick to your hands, roll it up and drop on ground, floor, trash, whatever. Call help to clean floor. :)

@aftermidnight that rabbit show was some fun! What a funny story about the customs! Haha!

Hey NYboy, As and alturnative to the posts above, why don't you just flip Harvey over and look between it's hind legs already. Or have Martha do it  ... If Harvy is a she, she could be having a false pregnancy and pulling her hair to build a nest. :th

I was thinking the same thing but with a name like Harvey I scrapped that idea.
I hatched a Peking duck under a Banty hen, named it Sam but when Sam laid an egg I had to change the name to Samantha, watching a growing Peking duck trying to get under her Banty mom at night was hilarious.

I agree with a simple summer blowout. My large dog is just finishing up his summer shed and here it is almost fall. Our rabbits used to blow their winter coats all summer long, with the more intense and final blowout right in August, so it sounds like Harvey is right on time.
