About to pour my coffee, finishing poached egg on a slice of toast, marmalade on another. Busy during my mornings these days. Olde, retired guy – busy on a Sunday/any day? Yeah well, when your kid tells you to take care of yourself, your first thought is, what else do I have time for?

Eh, I have time to get little plant starts out to the South Window!

Still a white world out there. Thinking about @Carol Dee 's post in the thoughts thread. Oh, I like that!

Today I am enjoying a mocha coffee, a coffee latte, and yogurt pancakes with home grown frozen strawberries from last summer.

Who first discovered the coffee bean!? Some angel I imagine!!! Supposedly there is a story written down in 1671 about a herder's goat who ate the red berries and became super energetic! It was an Ethiopian goat header named Kaldi.

"When bees and other pollinators learn to associate floral scent with food while foraging, they are more likely to visit flowers bearing the same scent signals. Such behaviour increases their foraging efficiency while concomitantly leading to more effective pollination."

I finished my coffee and breakfast and it is 60 degrees, but very cloudy. I am going out to do a little bit of raking and cleaning up in the yard. I have babysitting duties later today.

I've had my 2 cups of coffee. Had hernia surgery 3 days ago. First day home was rough, the anesthesia made me sick. Not fun. I'm taking it easy, actually pretty easy to do right now, I feel like a chainsaw got too friendly with my tummy. My recliner is my best friend, I can look out the window. My son is staying here and taking good care of me. He is still taking care of my sheep, horse and dogs. I am blessed. I'll be down for awhile and plan on not doing much this summer, so no big projects. By the time the doctor releases me it will be scorching hot, so I'll do the routine things, but nothing stupendous.
