    it's the best time of year ain't it? :D I still have alot to plant too. I'm gonna try some pole beans in big pots along my east fence. Think a 50 lb feed sack would be big enough?

    They are only in 2 raised beds. Just so happens those are the ones I filled with Kellogg raised bed filler from home depot. Makes me think they came in the soil. I dusted with DE and ordered 3000 lady bugs from amazon. We will see how it goed

    Amy of you guys know what thesee are? Do I need to get rid of them? If so how? There were 10 or 20 of them attacking a small beetle while I was taking pics.

    Thanks! I definitely plan on thinning. For fertilizer i use a diluted rabbit manure tea and then later when the plants are bigger I side dress with rabbit manure. It's a 16 foot trellis. I was thinking of growing 4-6 plants on it. Do you think that would be too many?

    Right now the potato bed which is full of unfinished compost is doing well. Lots of green coming up! All 3 beds have sunk 4 inches. I should have plenty of compost before next season to fill them up again
