So yesterday was the garden tour. An amazing day. We had all kinds of folks stop by. I talked so much my throat hurt. Most of them came to see the animals. They never saw sheep up close, let alone the lambs. All the animals were exhausted by 3:00. I was asked how roosters fertilize eggs...
Wow, what a day!
It was 82* low humidity, not a cloud in the bright blue sky and a light breeze. Perfect.
The first guest was quite the interesting woman. Dressed in a watermelon motif. And she was not happy. "Where is the food? Isn't this a kitchen garden tour?" After her I could...
Well, today is the BIG DAY. I am ready. I quick deadheading and once over and we are there. I did get the lawn mowed last night, yay.
I wonder how many times I will have to say, "No, that is a ewe. Horns don't make it a boy or a goat." Poor Ol'Thelma is always being confused for a boy...
One day to go and it is POURING! I still have to mow and trim. I hope I don't have to do it tomorrow morning after the goats get milked. I wonder how that will go over with the seahag next door....
Thanks guys. Dh says I have to work on my confidence. I see the pictures of all your stuff and I think, "How did they do it?" Lesa, your tea garden is precious. I wish mine was as adorable. Digits your oats are amazing. I am sure I have looked at pics you all have posted and Oooed and...

3 Days to go. I have all the gardens weeded except the back one. I took pics anyway for yous guys.
Here is my greeting party.
A view from the front yard looking towards the animals.
The 2 newest members of the farm.
The gardens.....
Now a good mow and trim and I am all...
Lesa, you are right. I am over stressing. I just returned from the library where I found out that 6 of the 8 gardens on the tour were hit. So I stand corrected when I said I was the only one hit. Apparently there was hail in a broader area than first thought. There was also a waterspout...
It has taken me all morning to address the front garden. Progress is good. There are empty spots that I will have to address but that just means going to the greenhouse. ;)
The squash plants are in rough shape. Too late to replant them. :(
Now some lunch and off to the next garden.
