Is that pea gravel kind of expensive? I bet it does look great though. Do you buy it by the ton, or get it in the bags at the nursery? I bet what you did keeps the weeds down good. Sounds like what I need to do. Our bind weed is soooo bad here.

I'm not sure what kind it is. The bulbs get about he size of a golf ball when they are mature. It's tasty though. I use it all the time when I cook.

I wouldn't use anything except a Excalibur. They are pricey but well worth the extra cost. They are safer than those round dehydraters too, because they have the heat source and fan in the back of the machine, so all shelves get equal heat. They also dehydrate 10 times faster than the round...

I have TONS of iris that I would like to clear out. Some are lavender and some are white, and they smell wonderful. I would like to trade for some other kind of flower, I would love orange cannas, or peonys of any color. I live in Kansas so need some thing that will grow here.

I have a ceramic top stove, and I can on mine all the time with no problems. I use a pressure cooker and the water bath type canner as well. I have never had any problem with either not getting hot enough.
