    Tomatoes for 2023

Can say I've herd of them and very little information online on them but the pictures I saw of the are very inconsistent. Some look like an Ox Heart type tomato others look like a large Roma type tomato similar to an Amish Paste or Big Mama.

Note to Self, plant pepper seeds later..

I planted these seed 8 weeks ago and I think I should have waited just a bit longer before planting the seeds. lol I had to transplant these peppers into 1/2-gallon pots today. They're showing good growth, filling out nicely and I counted around 20 buds on this one pepper. the other peppers have...

These young tomatoes are really looking good.

Thank You. They could have gone into 1/2-gallon pots last week (3 weeks old) just didn't have the time. I plant deep, lol. They got planted about 4 inches deeper than they were in the 4-inch pot and when they get planted in the ground about half their stem (or better) will be in the ground...

Mentor is about an hour due North of me. I'm a bit wetter and cooler than you are but not nearly as Mentor. Being as close to the lake as Mentor is it makes them colder, and they get more snow. The Eastern Prickly Pear cactus (devil's tongue) will grow up here but the soil in my location is a...

Both Polar Star and Polar Baby have been said to have been grown in unheated greenhouses in Iceland (Polar Baby producing better than Polar...

These young tomatoes are really looking good.

Don't be jealous, I had my share of failures and less than ideal plants over the years. One thing I have learned is start off with a good soil mix. For years I started seed in a basic soilless mix of 70% peat and 30% perlite with lime to buffer the pH and it wasn't until I changed my mix to a...

These young tomatoes are really looking good.

Thank you. I have been in a greenhouse and a garden since I could walk, starting seed and growing gardens is second nature for me but I have to say one of the hardest things for me was making the switch form Synthetic to Organic. Now I think I got a hand of it, and I never thought about going...

They could, but I still have until about the end of the month before they can go out safely.

These young tomatoes are really looking good.

They could go in the ground as soon as they have their true leaves, weather permitting.
