    Cut trees for raised beds?

That's what I did in my garden except we used cedar. To keep it from falling over we drilled holes in the logs and put rebar to secure it. It's been about 7 yrs since we've done this and everything is still holding together.

blue colored bug on my pumpkin plant

If you notice in the picture you will see at the top of the leaf something round goldish red colored. That is the squash bug eggs. You'll want to squish those and not only do they lay on top of the leaf, but on the bottom of the leaf also.

Hungarian Yellow peppers (hot) - suggestions?

My parents, who are Hungarian, make what they call Letcho with it. They fry the peppers up until soft and add tomatoes. Let it simmer for about 15min and your done. They usually put this over cooked rice. They also stuff the pepper with saurkraut and pickle them.

    Egg-Eating SNAKE!

I found one in my garden probably on its way to get an egg. Unfortunately for him he got wrapped up in some bird netting. My husband tried saving it but it was too late. I was careful before when weeding in the garden, but now I carry a stick to pull back any plants to make sure there are no...

Steve Solomon COF, anyone use it?

Did you do a soil test to find out what your soil is missing? You're better off finding out what is missing and adding that than spending $ on something you may not need or have too much.

Best Containers for Starting/Selling Herb Plants?

If you are using old nursery pots, make sure to wash them in a bleach solution. This will get rid of any diseases or even bugs that may be in the pots. I use these pots for my tomatoes. Years past I've given the 'maters away, but this year I'm thinking of selling them. Luckily I know someone...

New Gardener- HELP - re: Seed Starting

Seeds need the humidity to help in germination, however once you see leaves pop up remove the container lids so there is air circulation. Too much humidity will lead to dampening off which will kill seedlings. Also the light needs to be 1-3" away from the seedlings so that they do not become...
