Did a little lookin into this New Yorker tomato, turned over some rocks and went down a rabbit hole or two and with the pedigree that it has this tomato has the heritage to be a very good tomato for slicing and canning. Digging into the pedigree I found some really good tomato lines back there...

With the New Yorker having a maturity date of 63 days I could probably get a good test run this year and then do a run in the spring. I might just have to get into this tomato battle in the spring. 😊
