Hey folks, I may have arrived at a possible reason for my tomato quandary.
Side note: some of my tomato plants are looking somewhat better nowadays and I have lots of green tomatoes out there. But I'm not sure what kind they are 🤪.
I think I may have caused some cross pollination over the past...
Hi Steve and flowerbug, it's good to hear from you folks.
I have been diligent in harvesting new heirloom seeds every year and throwing away the previous year's collection. I guess I've inherited that from my dad, Smiles. I also rotate my crops every year. As far as soil condition it's the same...
Hi everybody. I know, I know, it's been a long time. Life always gets in the way ;).
I have been a gardener for many years and luckily this is the first time for this issue for me. I started my heirloom seeds at the end of February in my greenhouse. I am an heirloom seed saver for as many garden...
I'm not a flower kind of guy but each year I buy a few packets of flower seeds to keep DW smiling (I'm such a wonderful husband). For the late few years we have been planting Zinnias in our little 16'x2' annual bed across the front of our porch. They grow WAY too tall so last week I bought 3...

Is that something you on a regular routine? I've never heard of giving chickens a wet bath. We sometimes sprinkle them with Bentonite Clay or Diatomaceous Earth.
The bugs have been terrible! I don't like it but there are times, like now, when I feel like I'm forced to use chemicals in the gardens. Last week I purchased a bottle of "Sevin" and used it just this week. I have used it sparingly for many years. This time it looks different, smells different...
What is it?
This volunteer showed up in one of my raised beds. I have watered it and watched it grow for almost 4 months. It has small yellow flowers, large heart-shaped leaves and the seed pods have very sharp needles. It's about 4 ft tall.
