this may be a dumb question.... Why can you only start seeds 6-7 weeks before you want to plant them? I have my seed packets - most say plant indoors 6-7 weeks before last frost. hat happens if I plant them 10 - 12 weeks?

ok - wait.. you DON'T have to fill the bag as the potatoes grows? thats the way I have always done it. I use burlap bags and fill up to the leaves as they grow. Looks like your way is sooo much easier... how many potatoes are you getting from starting 3-4 pieces? AND you only fill it up...

curious on why do we keep moving the seedlings, or sprouts into bigger and bigger cups... is there a reason we do not jut put them in the bigger pot (cup) to begin with?

Thanks for the update.. as a kid, I remember my mom starting seeds.... she was always so busy, that she never got to the next step so I have been so hesitant to start them. I just remember flats of long leggy tiny plants that never seemed to do anything. I did not know they needed to be...
