i burn alot of wood for ther camp oven and to clean up the scrub. and it has always fasinated me why the soild turns to a black or red crumble when you uncover the soil fro the ashes. i use the ashes in the garden and picket up two wheel barrow fullls. :idunno

i pulled a few seeds out some are hollow and some are half filled. the back of the flower head is brown :hu

the internet tells me to harvest sunflowers when the seed has a white line on it and the backs are brown. well the backs are brown but no white stripe and the seed easily fall out i might just but a breathable bag over the head of the flower
