this is our first year growing potatoes and finding ugly, slimy bugs! first we tried soapy water spray - it rained. now we have dusted all our plants with DE, diatomeaceous (sp?) earth, thinking if it kills mites but slicing them open on their soft underbellies, it might work on potato bugs...

Does anybody know what is eating our peaches (oozing puncture wound, followed by brown and mushy flesh at the site of the puncture) and what can I do about them? Im not a huge fan of pesticides, and I wouldnt really know when to spray either. it sound like timing is important. organic options...
