Seems to be everyone is begging for some rain! Here in the panhandle of Florida is DRY, DRY, DRY. My family grows peanuts for our living and they are even having a hard time getting them out of the dirt on the vine still. Watering that crop isn't an option so we need to be praying for...

i know most of you will think this is such a stupid question but......whats the point in doing this - drying the peppers whole like this? What is to be done with them?

I was making salsa lastnight and the recipe calls for 1/2 cup of salt with 20 pounds of tomatoes....about how many tomatoes would that be? I freeze them in gallon bags after cutting out bruised spots and chopping them. WAY to salty for one gallon bag...which is about 4 or 5 cups of tomatoes.
