I just found this via Pinterest today...FoodPreserving.org They have a really amazing list of creative and unique recipes for canning, dehydrating, fermenting, etc. Tons and tons of things I'd never heard of before that would make great gifts or just to enjoy all to yourself. :D

@vfem , you should check out their jams and jellies list!

I found the site very impressive and thought you all might enjoy it too.

Yeah, that was how I came across the site, after finding that recipe. I know one year my Crimson Sweets made 17 nice watermelons like 15+ pounds each. They do keep awhile, but really, how much watermelon can one family eat? I wish I'd had that recipe then!

@journey11 yes I saw the section on cordials. I have a couple of bottles of my blueberry cordial left. We are occasional sippers LOL. Cordial makes a nice nightcap. I want to make other cordials this year, it is fun and cordial is yummy. DH will be even more willing to buy the vodka this year! :lol:
