LOL! Anyone have any idea what this is? For scale, the entire background is a 4x4 post.

Oh, Cane! You found a vase plant! Imagine how wonderful it will be when those baby vases grow into vases for flowers!

And then, I could imagine someone painting each tiny vase and selling them for miniature decorations in doll houses, Easter egg decorations, etc.

Are those on your property Cane?
No idea what they are (except they aren't Balloon flowers) but maybe when it leafs out we can tell.

I'm wondering if it's a weed.

Some type of Rhexia?
I think Ridge nailed it. Rhexia virginica
aka "Handsome harry" (I don't know why they don't capitalize "harry", it's a proper noun). You need to show us a picture of it when it's in bloom Cane. It's flower reminds me of a clematis bloom. Interesting plant!

Google is your friend. The secret was looking for urns, not vases. Took a while to come up with that one.

That is a strange looking plant. I could see it in centerpieces or flower arrangements.

LOL Ridge, Google is not my friend. I go looking for 'vase plant pods' and end up 2 hrs later learning how to turn a tire into a planter... and never find the plant pods.... o_O
