The beautiful Julius rose wins hands down for me. I cannot get enough of it's wonderful colour! Though the one I bought after falling in love with it one day on a visit to a garden centre is not an enthusiastic bloomer, sadly, so I don't have a pic, but here's one:

Stunning, isn't it? Which rose(s) is your favourite(s)?
Beautiful rose, sumi! Amazing color!
I also love the one @catjac1975 mentioned, I think it is Chicago Peace. My grandpa always had several in his rose gardens. They are very challenging to grow here, prone to blackspot, mildew, and need hilling and cover to get them through our winters. Grandpa was an amazing gardener!

My favorite to grow is Bonica...real hardy shrub, disease resistant, blooms all season. Smaller blooms but there are always so many it's still impressive. I will post a pic when my son figures out what I did to my computer..o_O

My MIL's garden looks amazing this time of the year with all the roses in bloom. I've taken some pics of them earlier today to share, just for fun :)

Sum I those are beautiful!!!

I'm beginning to take the plunge again into roses. I had some at the first house we bought but I left them because I knew I couldn't meet their needs in the interim time till we got to where we are now.

Far as favorites go.....I have a laundry list of ones I want to grow.

I went a bit shutter happy in the garden this morning. Our hybrid tea roses are in bloom now as well. The garden is so beautiful at the moment. We had some people round to view our farm yesterday and the lady in the group just stood in the middle of the garden going "Beautiful, beautiful..." Great time of the year to be selling a property ;)

My favourite Julius rose made one bloom and MIL didn't tell me, so I didn't see it :rant

Those are beauties Sumi. How many are fragrant? That's the best part of roses I think, sinking your nose in one and inhaling.
After checking for bees of course.

:lol: I have a mental picture of a tow sack full of cats and your arm up to the shoulder stuck in the bag!:lol:
Right after we purchased our first house, which had 7 overgrown rose bushes, I just started pruning the roses, when my wife backed into one next to where she was weeding . You should have seen her legs. :duc All of the roses got the death sentence and deposited into the trash can with no mourners in attendance. No other rose ever dared to set root on any other home that we had. :frow
