Congratulations, Long live, health, bread and salt.

We just had our anniversary as well, twenty two years, Wifey bought me a wedding ring, rings for both of us. The ones we were married with the first time, in Canada, we got from a Gum Ball machine at a grocery store, mine had a smiley face, hers had stars.

I too get the last say. I decide the important things like who will be president, when winter and summer start, how much firewood to cut. She, wifey, decides the little thing, where we spend winter and summer, what we eat, when we sleep or get up. Also things like what color clothes the family will ware, how warm the home should be and if what I've decided to do is the best way to handle that job.

Happy (late) Anniversary Red!

Dew and I will be celebrating number 24 in a week (28th).

:thumbsup whats your secret to a long and happy marriage ?

My answer to that is simple. As the man of the house I make sure I always get the last two words in. Those two words end every argument, disagreement, you name it. Those two words straighten everything out, and I mean they straighten it out RIGHT NOW.

Those two words are...

"Yes Dear."

I'm glad that works for you and yours. Wouldn't work for me and DH though. We are just so opposite that it feels we make one complete 'set' when we're together. I suppose we both say, "Yes, Dear" in equal portions, but it's a small part of the whole package.

I know one of us looked at the marriage as a gamble. Quite possibly the only time he ever gambled in his life. For me, it was a sure thing as I am not a gambler. I knew my part would last as long as he wanted it to. Then I worked hard to make sure he always wanted more. Easy-peasy!
