One year I planted tomatoes in backyard, they where doing great. My godson visited he loves playing with my dogs. The back yard total fence in so we let them play while enjoying a glass of wine. When we went outside I could not believe the damage. Every tomato was trampled didn;t miss 1. Flower beds trampled also. Tyler and my dogs asleep on chaise lounge.

Last fall, Landon visiting with Stevie and Rascal. We are healing from our loss of Stevie. Rascal seems to have stopped looking for her. My darling 3 year old Grandson's view of the world put a bit of humor into our missing of our gentle horse. His Mom, Jessica, asked how his day was today at Grandma's house.
"Well," he said. Stevie's still dead."
"I had cereal and pasta with red sauce for lunch."

The 5 year old went to all day kindergarten last week. Our time with him will be greatly reduced. We miss him but will still see him plenty. Our last all day with him he kept saying,"I have to stay next to Grandma all day today." They are such a joy. The oldest loves to come over and do outdoor work with us and his Dad. The little guy has a huge personality, loves art like me, his Mom, and his brothers. We feel like we are the lucky ones. I feel sad for Grandparents that think spending time with their Grandchildren is a burden.

Never a burden. I miss having more time with Grandsons. But after the Divorce our son only has them every Wed. Night and every other weekend. They lived 2 blocks away before the divorce. Sad times.

OMG. They will always remember the good times with you. My whole family talks about my parents every time we are together. They were the best!

I agree Cat, grandchildren are a lot of fun and a blessing. Still, I don't think we would enjoy having them every weekend all day long! :D Ours live 3 blocks away so we see them plenty. They also love to skype in the evenings whenever they want to share something special. :p

I wrote to the former owner of my horse Stevie to tell her of her death. She had 3 foals for Stoney Brook Farm in New Hampshire. One, SBF Cortez is still owned by the farm is being ridden by a professional, Boyd Martin. They were selected to represent the US last year in eventing. Here is a video that Denise, the owner, sent to me. He looks like a muscled up version of my beautiful Stevie with her same smooth gaits. Good job, Stevie
