This is one of my busiest times at work. Everyone is taking family vacation, my kennel is full, the phone is ringing nonstop, clients wanting my attention coming in every few minutes. I feel like I am being pulled in 4 different directions, my patience is a little short. It will not let up till after labor day weekend. Woman and her 10 year old brat come in for grooming, the dog was a solid mat, only thing that could be done was shave it down. The spoiled little demon did not want her dog shaved, the mother did not want to go against her daughter wishes. I was getting pissed that this woman was not standing up to her child. I looked at the little monster, she had her arms crossed and was glaring at me. Next thing I know my tongue was sticking out at her,of course the little tattletale told her mother. I had the nerve to tell mom I would never do such a thing, Pinacchio needed to stop making things up. I know I was wrong on several levels but I don't care. Only 9 more hours of work today.

Good for you! Even though we have a business and need the clients, there is only so much we should tolerate! As I get older, I tolerate less and less. I'm willing to lose a client because I know there will always be someone else. I also don't worry about word getting around because the positive reviews far outway the negative if any.

My sister once had a sleep over for her sons friends. one boy would not go to sleep and kept causing trouble. my sister finally said if you don't go to sleep I will call your parents to pick you up. The young boy replied I doubt you will call my parents in the middle of the night. It was very late and my sister was worried about scaring them so kid was right. He was never invited back.

At drop off I would have said "if there are any issues or a problem, I will call you to come pick them up, even if it's the middle of the night. Then you bet I would have called them. Told you I don't take much flack anymore. :p

@Nyboy, your bad but sometimes you just can't help yourself, after a tiring day I might of said something worse, my bad :).

No wonder the world is going to hell in a hand basket, don't these parents realize their children are the future. If not taught respect, tolerance, and moral responsibility at an early age, well, we can already see what not doing so is doing to our countries. Come on parents it's up to you, I'm really starting to fear for my great grandchildren, the kind of world they're going to have to live in.
I had two of mine while still in my teens the third when I was 21 but, even as young as I was I raised mine to have decent manners, respect their elders, treat others regardless of the color of their skin, religion or sexuality, the way they wanted to be treated themselves.
I'm actually popping buttons to be able to say our kids have raised theirs the same way and the great grandchildren are also raised the same way.
Sorry, got on my soapbox again :hide.

Yeah, you were wrong to stoop to her level and stick your tongue out at her and wrong to lie about it. But you have confessed. Your apology is accepted on here so get on with life. The mother is the one you should be upset with anyway, not the kid.

I'd think the proper response would be to say that the proper treatment for a dog in that condition is to shave it. If you can't allow me to treat it properly you need to take it somewhere you can get it the treatment you want. No arguments, no playing games. But I don't always do the proper thing, especially when I'm tired and frustrated.
