Amen to that! I keep Burt's Bees lip balm in both vehicles and in my desk so I won't have to carry any in my pocket. Just in case I get a dry lip in the winter cold...doesn't happen often, but I like having it on hand if it does.

Chapstick is a trap...it has alcohol in the ingredients, which dries out your lips, so you have to apply more, which dries out your lips, causing you to have to apply more...well..you get the picture. I know people who are addicted to that stuff because they haven't figured out the cycle. Haven't bought Chapstick for years as it truly lives up to its name...a chapping stick.

Well.... I call it chapstick, but I have a friend who makes lotions, salves, 'chapstick', etc.. It's her concoction in a chapstick shaped tube. ;) The stuff is WONDERFUL! Put it on once or twice a day tops.

the only thing that doesn't react for me is vaseline, so i mix a little vanilla in it and stuff it in some old carmex bottles. 3 of those is about a 5yr supply.

It's here @Beekissed and I can't believe what's in the local farm supply store. When I pick up something for DW, I sometimes need the salespeople to help -- like the cosmetic counter!

@Nyboy , I was stopped a couple of years ago when the spare tire holder came loose and was dragging on the pavement under the pickup. It was about 5am one summer morning. The police officer looked at me strangely like, "why can't he hear that?" I thought that it was odd that he didn't ask about whether there had been a spare tire that came loose. Nope. It had been taken off and the holder left loose.

Other than that -- the last stop was for speeding out in the middle of the Columbia Basin, one summer day in the early 80's. Previous was the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, the police officer said I was speeding then because the limits had been reduced from what was posted. I got a warning for stirring up ash. Dang! I don't wanna jinx myself but ... the 70's are a blur and I've forgotten the 60's!

@majorcatfish That is a BIG bunch of keys!

@Beekissed Love Burt's Bees. Every Walgreens carries it.

@digitS' , the Columbia basin is about the easiest place to speed! All that wide open vacant roadway.
I cut 2 hours of the usual 14 it used to take to get to mom and dads by doing - well I'm embarrassed to admit how fast I pushed that little truck- but it was way faster than I should have been going. Dh wasn't with me on that trip or I never would have driven like a madwoman.
